Rainbow Six Mobile

Rainbow Six Mobile: Release Date, Operators, Maps & Everything You Need to Know.

Introduction

FPS games are very popular in the mobile gaming industry, but one thing has always been missing: a true tactical 5v5 strategy experience. This is where Rainbow Six Mobile comes in.

The game has recently launched and offers a different style of gameplay compared to typical mobile shooters. The game focuses more on teamwork, planning, and smart execution rather than fast gunfights.

If you want to learn more about Rainbow Six Mobile in detail, this blog is for you. In this blog post, we’ll explain every important aspect of Rainbow Six Mobile in simple words.

What is Rainbow Six Mobile?

Rainbow Six Mobile is a free-to-play competitive 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) game from the Rainbow Six franchise. The game is designed specifically for mobile devices.

In this game, players compete in the classic Attack vs Defence mode, where they take on the role of either Attacker or Defender.

Players work as a team in a destructible environment and make timely strategic decisions during intense close-quarters combat to gain a tactical advantage.

Players choose from a roster of highly trained operators, each equipped with unique abilities and gadgets that they can use to tailor their strategy.

This game is published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Montreal. It is built using the Unity game engine.

Rainbow Six Mobile Release Date.

The game’s first beta was launched in April 2022 and closed in September 2022. In 2023, its beta version was only available in a few countries, including Canada, Mexico, France, Chile and Colombia.

In March 2024, Ubisoft delayed the game due to some gameplay-related issues, pushing its release date to April 2025. The game was later released in Latin America on July 26, 2025.

After years of development and testing, taking feedback from players, Ubisoft finally launched Rainbow Six Mobile globally on February 23, 2026. The announcement was made through the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

In India, Ubisoft had already released the game on February 19, 2026.

Rainbow Six Mobile currently introduces a total of 6 maps: Bank, Border, Cullodenhouse, Oregon, Summit, and New Villa.

Bank: This map is located in the middle of a populated city. Infiltrating this heavily fortified area is not easy. Attackers find it very difficult to locate any objectives on this map because the buildings in this map contain many small and medium-sized rooms that defenders can easily reinforce.

Border: This map is located on the border of two countries, where you will feel isolated. Surrounded by deserted mountains, it features a mix of old and new buildings along with open areas. Moving around here requires careful planning, as it is one of the most open and destructive maps.

Clubhouse: This is the biker gang’s clubhouse, where fun never stops. Clubhouse is a massive map designed for strategic rotation and mobility. The building’s three stories feature large, open rooms and numerous breachable walls. Its exterior is also quite large, offering multiple entry points for attackers.

Oregon: Set in a survivalist compound, this map features a rustic, diverse, and vibrant atmosphere. Its vast layout requires well-planned strategies to effectively lay siege and maintain control. Numerous windows provide defenders with multiple vantage points from inside while also offering attackers multiple ways to infiltrate and gain access.

Summit: This winter gateway was once a failed resort purchased by an unknown buyer and later converted into a military training camp. Its true purpose remains unknown, but it’s clearly not meant for corporate meetings.

Villa: Villa is a sprawling Italian mansion with multiple floors, narrow corridors, and open courtyards. Its layout offers a variety of tactical opportunities, giving both attackers and defenders multiple ways to reach objectives. The mix of open and closed spaces creates dynamic gameplay across the map.

Rainbow Six Mobile Modes

Rainbow Six Mobile features three modes: Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch, which can be played in different playstyles, such as Quick Play, Ranked Match, and Private Match. Below is a detailed explanation of all the available modes in Rainbow Six Mobile.

Bomb: Bomb mode in Rainbow 6 Mobile is a 5v5 tactical mode where attackers must plant a defuser at one of two bomb sites within the time limit. Defenders must protect both sites and prevent the attackers from planting.

If the defuser is successfully planted, defenders must deactivate it before it explodes. Defenders win by stopping the plant, running out the clock, eliminating all attackers, or disabling the planted defuser.

Bomb Rush: Bomb Rush is a fast-paced 5v5 mode in Rainbow Six Mobile designed for quick matches. In this mode, Defenders have limited time to set up. The walls are already reinforced, so defenders don’t have to manually prepare much.

Attackers instantly know the objective location. This mode follows a best-of-three format, meaning the team that wins the first two rounds wins the match.

Team deathmatch: Team Deathmatch (TDM) is a fast-paced 5v5 mode in Rainbow 6 Mobile that focuses entirely on gunfights.

There are no bomb plants or objective defenses; the goal is simply to eliminate the opposition team. The first team to reach the set kill limit, typically around 75–100 kills, wins. If time runs out, the team with the higher score wins.

This mode offers unlimited respawns, so you can rejoin the fight immediately after being eliminated. There are fewer tactical restrictions. Players can freely use any operator and focus purely on aim, movement, and combat.
